We're Brian & Rashelle Menten! A husband & wife team who love our little corner of Downtown Coos Bay! We currently own & operate SharkBite's Seafood Cafe and Waxer's Surf & Skate, and we are so thrilled to add this new non-profit to our mix! We've been blessed with three beautiful children, Finnegan {5}, Harper {3},

& Esther {9mos.}.

Inspired by our three sweet angel babies to create Bananas, and living a life for God, each other, & our kiddos, we are beyond excited to go on another adventure together & add this fun new non-profit to the heart of downtown!

Our silly name

While brainstorming name ideas one casual afternoon in our surf shop office, we bounced every name possible back and forth. After what felt like hundreds of names/sayings/ideas, Rashelle said "go bananas", and kinda laughed it off, but Brian said "that's it!!" SO, Bananas was born from that simple saying we've all heard before! Which translated perfectly into a slogan, "Go bananas at Bananas!" Bananas also happen to be sweet Esther's FAVORITE food, so we like to say it's named for her as well. ;) Kiddo Kingdom was the obvious choice because it's for kids, and it will be their kingdom to rule and have fun at! We hope you find as much fun in our name & play place as we do!​​
